The Minnesota Artists Guild is a state-wide organization supporting artists as they set and obtain their creative and career goals. We facilitate the formation of mutually beneficial relationships among peers and industry leaders through a minimum of two in-person events each month.
The cornerstone of MAG is the monthly Connection Salon, where Members meet with their chapters to share ideas, promote projects, and request “leads” for resources that are helpful in conquering their next steps. Another constant is the Networking Happy Hour, where artists are able to connect on a more casual basis. Optional Mastermind Groups allow Members to meet and strategize on a smaller scale with like-minded, committed collaborators. In addition to these foundational elements, we offer a variety of events and resources to promote connections, collaborations, and creativity for artists.
The Minnesota Artists Guild is a sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts, a nonprofit arts service organization. Contributions on behalf of the Minnesota Artists Guild may be made payable to Springboard for the Arts and are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

As artists we are so lucky to live in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 opportunities. Our state is rich with resources that enable artists to thrive. So many in fact, that sometimes it feels overwhelming. I’ve been on a mission to find a central resource hub that also serves as a place to connect with other artists, IRL. Not finding anything that fit perfectly, my mission became to make one. Thus, the Minnesota Artists Guild.
My life has been a series of blocks that seem to have been building this guild behind my back. An artist all my life, I obtained a Certificate of Design Psychology and a BA in Design that included formal studies at the major museums throughout Europe. I’ve worked as a retail and residential designer, curated gallery shows and festivals, and have taught art techniques and/or history at the pre-school, elementary, and college level. As an artist I show at multiple local galleries and a few national and have participated in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Art Festival, Stone Arch Festival, Art at St Kate’s, and the Powderhorn Festival, just this year.
I have been an entrepreneur since 1996 when I opened a stained-glass studio as a sole proprietor. Since then, I have launched several small enterprises including an event center, café, childhood art curriculum, online listing service, vintage and antiques business, and my crowning jewel, a national business networking organization.
I have learned through my nearly three decades of starting and growing businesses that the number one way to reduce the inevitable pain of the learning curve and accelerate on the path to obtaining career goals is human connection. We are each other’s greatest resources. Let’s find each other.
